Want to know what our Rocked Nutrition: Master the Basics Level 1 Program is all about? Read through our most frequently asked questions below!

What is this program all about?

The L1 program works toward eating 800g of fruits and vegetables per day and teaches strategies to do this, over and over – forever. It’s not a quick fix and it’s not going to make you lose 30lbs in 30 days. If you’re tired of “starting a new diet” for the 10th time or trying to restrict the things you love to eat, this is the program for you. The reality is that most of us are not eating enough fruits and vegetables even though we know how good they are for us. Not only do they provide nutrients our bodies need, they fill us up and have a low caloric density (usually less than 1 cal/gram).

Is it super restrictive?

No. As mentioned above, we are focusing on fruits and vegetables (and a little protein towards the end). That’s it. A diet needs to be able to withstand life realities like parties, vacations, airport layovers, and busy days if it’s going to be meaningful in the long term.

Do I have to attend meetings?

No, this program can be completed anywhere and does not require any in-person meetings or specific meeting times. There are educational videos that you can watch whenever is convenient for you. We will use an app for communication and delivery of these videos/recipes/tips and information but you can login at your own convenience.

Why 800g?

The 800g target comes from EC Synkowski’s #800gChallenge and the Three Pillars Method of nutrition coaching. The number was derived from a study looking at fruit and vegetable consumption relative to health outcomes. They found the risk of cancer, stroke, cardiovascular disease, and all-cause mortality (death) risk was reduced when people ate 800 grams of fruits and vegetables per day (Aune et al., 2017). This number also takes the guess work out of “are you eating enough fruits and vegetables?”. Busy week, calm week, vacation, family dinner, night out with friends – we can still get our 800g. This number requires effort and clients realize the habits they must maintain to have successful days. Not only have we seen success with this, we’ve done it. We do it.

Why do you run it in a group setting?

Running it in a group serves two purposes. First, you realize you are certainly not alone in your pursuit for nutrition improvement. Working in a group also allows us to learn from each other. Every time we run our program I get a new recipe idea or learn something new from a participant about how to cook a veggie! Secondly, a group program allows the cost to be reduced compared to  working with a Nutrition Coach individually (roughly half the cost).

Will I lose weight?

The honest answer is… maybe. The L1 program is the foundation that nutrition habits can be built upon, but it doesn’t restrict or focus on anything else in the diet. Therefor, it can’t guarantee weight loss. We are focusing on long-term health and nutrition. If you want to work toward weight loss, you need a solid foundation to do so sustainably. This is a first and manageable step.

Do you provide resources?

Yes, we provide videos with nutrition education content. We also provide the #800gChallenge E-book ($24.99 value) as well as recipes, photos, advice and answering all of your questions along the way!

What do you expect of me?

In order for you to get everything possible out of this (or any) program, it requires effort. This program is not about perfection, it’s about progress. It’s not going to be super easy or without challenges, otherwise everyone would already be doing it. We ask that participants keep an open mind and embrace a new way of planning their nutrition during the day. Lastly, we ask that participants watch the educational videos provided and be an active member of the group when they have things to contribute.

When does it start?

The next start date is Jan 22nd, 2024. You can sign up here.
