Postpartum Fitness at Rocked

At Rocked, we have moms-to-be and postpartum mommas in all our classes – regular classes, MomFit classes and Mom & Me classes.

Every woman is different and her postpartum return to fitness is also different. The one thing about all moms is that they can really benefit from a supportive group of other moms and people around them. Here are a few different options for moms specifically at Rocked!

The Mom & Me Early Postpartum Fitness Class started in 2023 and was designed with new moms in mind. The class is once a week for an hour (6-week session) and is built around no- and low-impact strength & conditioning and core rehabilitation. It doesn’t matter if you are 6 weeks postpartum or 6 months, this is a great first step in reconnecting to your core and your body. We also spend time talking about potential symptoms that may come up in exercise and how to interpret them. Building back to activities with impact may not always be straightforward, so we aim to provide guidance and support to get the woman back to doing whatever it is that she loves to do! Most moms use this as their first step in their return to exercise. Our next session starts February 7th, 2024 – more info here.

The MomFit classes are once or twice a week (Tues/Thurs 11am) and run all the time. Moms can join whenever they are ready, and movements can be modified to suit their needs. We follow regular class programming with the addition of some core rehabilitation movements and discussion on pelvic floor.

In most cases, moms bring their baby to class with them. This is awesome and encouraged. Sometimes baby needs attention or feeding during class, this is totally normal. We always just make it work so that mom can get a workout!

Kids/babies are welcome at all classes at Rocked. We have 4 exersaucers, 3 chairs, and mats for the floor to help keep baby occupied during the class. Then when the child is older, we have a play area they can watch from!

Individual coaching sessions are also an option at Rocked. Some moms choose to work one-on-one with a Coach certified in postpartum training to develop strength and conditioning to suit their individual needs. Sometimes women want educational training sessions to help them prepare for workouts at home or elsewhere. For example, learning to move safely and relevant progressions for movements in the early postpartum period.

Whatever you are looking for in your postpartum journey, we can help. We firmly believe that (while it may not feel like it at first!) every woman can get back to doing all the activities that she loves.
